I have long hypothesized that Q’ing a workout spur-of-the-moment rather than a scheduled workout with weeks to prepare would be beneficial, given that I have a tendency to overplan. Today, I got my chance to test this hypothesis with a last minute Q at The Rabbit. Here it goes…
WARM UP
SSH (IC x 25)
WMH (IC x 15)
Hammy’s, Glutes, and Calf Stretches (this IS a running workout, after all…)
THE THANG
Head west down BC Pkwy towards The Wall at a brisk pace. Good mumblechatter was present. Having spotted a nice collection of cinder blocks recently, we took a right up Hamburger Hill to put them to good use. After reaching the top of the hill and shortly thereafter, sprint to the port-a-john and grab a cinder block for some Colt 45’s (You got some mice for these pythons???).
Continue down Boone Street into Encore, where Grunge attempted to chase down some deer that darted across the street. Run the loop until the paved pathway to Boulder Point presented itself. Run up Boulder Point to Constellation Park, were we considered if either a sacrifice or a bonfire seemed like a better idea, with bonfire ultimately winning out. Two sets of dips and then head back down the trail towards Granite Mill. (More deer, but this time Grunge let them pass). Cut through the pathway on Old Piedmont through the tree line towards Boulder Park and finally back on to BC Pkwy with a few minutes left for some Mary.

“If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word.” – Margaret Atwood
We can spend a lot of time and energy trying to achieve perfection, when an 80% or 90% score will do just fine. This was my conclusion of today’s Q at the Rabbit. Go out and make some mistakes in the name of progress. It was a privilege to lead you men today, and I appreciate all your support. Aye!
