As a last-minute fill-in for Nitro (a hard act to follow), I realized that I hadn't time to develop a plan that was overly dramatic. Since it is close to Memorial a 1/2 Murph seemed appropriate and while some are fairly intense when it comes to their Murphs I thought this one could take a more "no-drama" approach (PAX could adjust their pullups as needed). We did the following:
Warm Up
SSH 15 IC
WMH 15 IC
Hill Billy 15 IC
Crop Pickers 10 IC
Arm Circles 15 F 15 R IC
1/2 Murph
This Pyramid x 2 (Total: 50 pullups, 100 Merkins, 150 Squats)
1 Pullup, 2 Merkins, 3 Squats
2 Pullups, 4 Merkins, 6 Squats
3 Pullups, 6 Merkins, 9 Squats
4 Pullups, 8 Merkins, 12 Squats
5 Pullups, 10 Merkins, 15 Squats
4 Pullups, 8 Merkins, 12 Squats
3 Pullups, 6 Merkins, 9 Squats
2 Pullups, 4 Merkins, 6 Squats
1 Pullup, 2 Merkins, 3 Squats
Then we Ricky-Bobby'd a 1 mile loop.
and finished with:
Marys
10 Homer-to-Marge
10 Heel Taps IC
19 LBCs
15 Shoulder Taps
COT
Amid confused looks I regaled PAX with Macbeth's famous soliloquy, 'She should have died hereafter…Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow…' afterwards we all agreed such drama had no place at F3 COTS. I suggested that perhaps PAX should think about reducing the drama in everyday discourse with their wives and family. Ended it there (“Brevity is the soul of wit.”).
