Sometimes the approach to the backblast and follow through is a drab chore other times it's a joy to elaborate on the Q at hand. I'm not sure how to make it a constant source of joy but my only guess is the more that I write the better these journal entries will get. Lets hope that the writing and overall sentiment of the workout experience gains some traction as in this very moment it would feel as I'm trying to move a wheel barrel filled with dirt through a mud filled path uphill. Enough of the pity party and ideas for possible workouts we've got a mission to tackle and even if my 8 year old son is the only one to read this in say 20 or so odd years so be it at least the Q God can witness my humble attempt at chronicalling my ventures in leadership.

To say that I was nervous is to undercut how over the top I take Qing and even more so The Battering Ram. I've been taking my 2.0 son LegoLand off and on for almost a year now and finally about 2 or so months ago when I was feeling particularly manic I got him to agree to coQing with me. Now did he know what this meant or what went into such a foray? No, not at all and I did little to explain or prepare him in practicing cadence count or coming up with unique exercises to fit such a grand occasion as his VQ. That being said as the time rapidly approached I did not feel it right to call this his VQ and took the pressure valve off significantly by simply asking him to join me in the middle for Warmarama. To this he agreed and we both feel he'll be ready for his VQ in one to two years.

Count Chocula WarmaRama's are always the same:
20x SSH
6x slow WMH
6x manafort good mornings
10x Frankensteins
10x Tin Soldiers
10x Imperial Walkers
10x Mountain Climbers
10x fwd arm circles
10x rev arm circles

We took a full quarter mile lap around the field doing a running straight ahead for the long stretch, Kareoke's on the two horizontals and a run backwards on the other long stretch. Met back at the start point for instructions, to which I led the PAX up to the parking garage where I'd set up a total of 8 stations on the two levels of the AO parking garage. The top level (stations 1-4) were all body weight exercises and the bottom level (stations 5-8) were all weight exercises. Every exercise had a form of crawl to it. The direction was clockwise and I split the PAX up into 6 groups of 4 to lessen the burden on any groups ending up in the same station at the same time.

Here is the overall format:
(1)35xJump Tucks >Crab Walk
(2)50xGroiners >Gorilla Crawl
(3)35xStar Jumps>Lizard Crawl
(4)30xCCbonnieBlairs>Walk Crab down to bottom level
(5)15xBlockies>Bear Crawl
(6)50xCurls>Crawl Gorilla
(7)35xChest Press>Side Bear Crawl
(8)35xKettle Bell Swings>Crawl Bear up to top level

Stations 3 and 7 were kept empty at the start and the other 6 occupied. I quickly learned anecdotally that the exercises were best broken up into halves so as not to get muscle lock and not be able to complete the assignments. Also I think that breaking them up helps facilitate a better group experience and make sure everyone is content as a unit.

These stations (the Green Comet) took much longer then expected all bit of 30 minutes I estimate. The goal was to finish one full round and then have enough time to switch groups around and do another round. This turned out to be impossible to do both this and what I had planned for us for part two of the workout (Pop goes the Spy Balloon). So I completely went against my intuition and despite what we had going with the Green Comet stations I decided to run havoc upon the PAX and end it after one completed round. I completely forgot one of the groups when rounding up the PAX and they were left behind to my great astonishment. Alas I got my panties in a bundle and nearly had a complete tizzy once I realized I'd put the cart before the horse and didn't have all the PAX for the next series of exercises.

Best I could at the time I attempted to divide the PAX into 3 groups in 3 different station locations for:
'Pop goes the Spy Balloon'
8's
1 Burpee at the bottom
Run up to the top
7 Reverse Burpees (Alarm Clocks) at the top
Run down
Completed when the PAX has done 1 Reverse Burpee at the Top

My initial plans for this was to rotate the 3 groups counter clockwise until they'd done all 3 station locations. This proved to be totally impractical and I'd estimate one round took 15 minutes for future reference. Group one was placed in by the upward fake turf slanting hill thing to the left of the water fountain after the Hooker Field restrooms. I instructed the PAX to run up the slanty incline and go down the stairs. Group two was stationed in the soccer field stadium steps. Group 3 went with me to the workout area at the other end of the soccer field stadium going up the other fake turf incline and down the stairs.

Gathered PAX from the 3 site stations to circle up for Mary

15CC xFactors
10x Big Boy Sit ups

COT:
Having LegoLand attend of Saturdays and see him follow the lead of Banana Skin and learn the joy of F3 and fitness in general has been truly inspirational and I hope to keep that tide rolling in!

(the title of this workout and the two individual exercise circuits was taken from mumblechatter posts that Flapjack directed at Bump Draft, we in Churham hope that Bump Draft will some day admit to the existence of the Green Comet and finally come to terms with Chinese Spy Balloons and their threat to our overall freedom)
