Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and YHC unashamedly lifted today’s proceedings from a Peppermint Pattie Q a few weeks back at TBL. It’s you versus you, essentially, with a nice accountability wrinkle thrown in there. Mine differed somewhat from Pep’s, more exercises and fewer rounds, but hopefully will have the PAX feeling it tomorrow.
YHC, Scapula and Castaway rucked over from the neighborhood and got in an extra half hour of rucking before ME. Ten hearty PAX gathered in the chilly rain for the festivities.
After brief warmup, we moseyed to get a cinder block, then lined up in two lines of five facing one another in the side parking lot.
From there it was:
- One minute max jump squat, one minute rest x 3
- One minute max merkin one minute rest x 3
- One minute max block row one minute rest x 3
- One minute block curls one minute rest x 3
- One minute block thrusters x 3
- One minute WWII x 3
After each round you walked toward your partner to report your total, for some accountability.
Amazing how much work you get in when resting half the time, if you really push.
Put cinderblocks back and moseyed home for 10 burpees. FIN

Today’s workout is a good mix of hard work and mumble chatter, with the longish rest breaks (that don’t seem quite as long as things move along). Believe everyone got good doses of fitness and fellowship in today. Always a privilege to lead The Friendliest AO in Churham. Aye!
