12 Days of Piranha Christmas

November was a blur and December is upon us. It felt a bit  like a Winter Wonderland this morning with temps in the lower 30s and frost on the windshields. I had a plan to be certain everybody would want to drop at least one of their extra layers before the end of the workout. Christmas music has been streaming in my house for weeks. When I remembered this early December Q, I knew I had to incorporate a Christmas song somehow… and the number  ‘12’ stayed in my head.

Mosey to the  bus lot for the ME,  and what to our wondering eyes should appear?

A gift wrapped ‘12 Days of F3 Christmas” present  encircled with twinkling lights, to be unwrapped and enjoyed by all!

In typical 12 Days of Christmas fashion, each day’s ‘treat’ was revealed and enjoyed as a group. As subsequent days were revealed, they were stacked with previous days:

Day 1:  
1 Jillbert lap  (the Jillbert is the younger, smaller sister of the Philbert)

Day 2:
2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap  

Day 3: 
 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1Jillbert lap  

Day 4:  
4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1Jillbert lap

Day 5:
5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1Jillbert lap

Day 6: 
6 Carolina Drydocks, 5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap

Day 7:
7 Jump squats, 6 Carolina Drydocks, 5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap

Day 8:
8 Mountain climbers ( in cadence),7 Jump squats, 6 Carolina Drydocks, 5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap

Day 9: 
9 Squats, 8 Mountain climbers ( in cadence),7 Jump squats, 6 Carolina Drydocks, 5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap

Day 10:
10 merkins, 9 Squats, 8 Mountain climbers ( in cadence),7 Jump squats, 6 Carolina Drydocks, 5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap

Day 11:
11 Flutter kicks( in cadence),10 merkins, 9 Squats, 8 Mountain climbers ( in cadence),7 Jump squats, 6 Carolina Drydocks, 5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap

Day 12:
12 Monkey humpers, 11 Flutter kicks( in cadence),10 merkins, 9 Squats, 8 Mountain climbers ( in cadence),7 Jump squats, 6 Carolina Drydocks, 5 BURPEES OYO!!, 4 Reverse Lunges(ea leg), 3 Bobby Hurleys, 2 lengths of Bear Crawls, 1 Jillbert lap

Finished just in time to mosey back for COT. The two sets of 12 flutter kicks will have to count for Mary.

Enjoyed having a repeat visiting PAX, Pack Rat, from Indiana; hopes to make it to House of Pain this week, too!

Prayers

Cosmo recently attended the funeral of his uncle. The outpouring of community support was remarkable, but he still sees the unimaginable grief in his grandparents, who buried a child.  Our thoughts are with him and his family. 

We all get lost in the trappings of the commercialized holiday season. Lets focus instead on the people in our lives, especially those who may need us more than we realize. Reach out to friends, neighbors, and even family members who may be having a difficult time this holiday season.  


As always, I am honored to be a part of such a community of great men.
