Phew buddy, Monte, Quint and myself gathered at 0500 for circle of weights with some moseying to the front of the high school to conduct dips and derkins sprinkled in. The time went by quickly.
The ME kicked off promptly at 0530 and this is where the team work and collaboration shined > Sackboy brought his cones per my request and while I laid them out, Monte got the PAX started with some warm ups, he went ahead and knocked out the penalty burpees (I swear I didn't plan that, they just happened to be executed while I was setting up the cones….).
Once our warm up which included a few of our staples such as SSH, good-good mornings, American Hammer Michael Phelps, arm circles and WMY was completed, we moved over to the 1st cone.
The idea was that we would start at the first cone and complete 3 exercises, from there, we would sprint to the next cone and conduct another round of 3 exercises and that's exactly what we did. Twice we altered the mode of travel away from sprints and did bear crawl and frog jumps. Here are the exercises we did, can't quite recall the groupings but you'll get the idea:
Carolina dry docks – Plank – Diamond merkins – Squat jumps – WWII – Flutter kicks – Johnny dramas – Peter parkers – Mike Tyson merkins – box cutters – burpees.
We ended bootcamp with a quick trip to the front of the school where we did a round of dips and then Bulgarian split squats.
Then, we headed back to the AO for a round of MARY with Siesta leading the 1st exercise and then going around the circle with PAX leading their preferred core exercise.
The last minute was ours to rest and star-gaze, they were out in abundance this morning!
We gave announcements then I fogot name-o-rama so the PAX reminded me, then we did our famed COT.
