The Paradise tradition of the Community Q got underway with the theme of Movement Mashups, the creation of compound movements targeting multiple muscle groups. The PAX were encouraged to consider movements like burpees and absolution, and novel sequences or pairings of exercises. Our goal was to take turns leading the PAX to different locations across the site and to explore new exercises. PAX were assigned a number and were called upon throughout the workout to name a location and mode of travel, or an exercise.

Atta-boy got started with the warm up.
Squat Thrusters, 3-count down, 1-count up to overhead press
SSH (IC), followed by single burpee
Seal Jax (IC), followed by two burpees

Wide Leg Bushwacker

The Thang
Sohcahtoa- Mosey to the Traffic Circle

Rebar- 8-count exercise of Bear Crawl to Merkin to Burpee

Green Acres- Rickie Bobby to “Front of School”

Vice- Introduced the Countdown Burpee!!!! Mountain Climber (5, IC), Plank Jack (4, IC), Merkin (3, IT), Squat (2, IT), Burpee (1)

Atta-Boy- Mosey to next parking lot

Niblet- Alternating parking space lines, LBCs (IT) and Single-Leg Squats (IT), walk in between each line

Homegrown Berry- Mosey to a different “Front of School”, the one with the built-in benches and stairs. PAX each claimed a ledge for a round of 11’s, alternating between ledge-jumps/step-ups and Supermans. OYO Plank-Shoulder Taps until all PAX completed the set

Atta-Boy- Mosey to the “Yo-Yo Loop”, the adjacent oval parking lot

Yo-Yo- Rickie Bobby with burpee around the Loop, sprint was forward, mosey was Bernie Sanders

Manafort- Divided PAX into two groups, one for Australian Merkins, one for Yes-No-Maybes. 3 sets each exercise

Twitty- Traveling Crusher’s Sequence to the short steep hill at the other “Front of School”. YHC is calling this spot Spam-Hill because in past community Qs, Spam has always called out a sneakily difficult set of exercises here. Even in his absence, this spot inspired a difficult sequence. But, what is the Traveling Crusher? Karaoke, Lunge-Walk, Crab Walk, Side-Shuffle

Yo-Yo, Sohcahtoa, and Quicken led us through two-sets of the Spam Hill Sequence. Curb Toe-Taps (Yo-Yo), AYG to Top (Sohcahtoa), Crab Cakes (Quicken).

Atta-Boy- Mosey to AO, Flutterkicks for about 30-s until 6:15
