Filled with the nerves of my first Q, I forgot much of my warmup plan and ended it awkwardly with "stretch what you want", a nice filler activity.

Started with a short mosy to the 0.5mi mark of the ATT, at which point the Main Event began. The game was quarter mile repeats earning or losing Burpee points. We started w/ 20 points and the first quarter set the "baseline" pace. Each quarter thereafter either decreased the baseline and subtracted burpee points (if faster than baseline) or increased the burpee point count but didn't raise the baseline (if slower). Time was measured from median pax (4th out of 7). It seemed to us (or at least me) that a particular quarter mile (as marked by the ATT maintainers) was shorter than the others, or perhaps we were just a little too excited for quarters 2 and 3.

We ate away at our 20 burpee points and even got down to -10 (whatever that would have meant), but then gained most of them back in quarters #4-6 (+14, +8, +2). If the pax had wanted to game the system a bit (which they almost hinted at toward the start), they could have sandbagged harder in the early quarters. But of course, that's not our style. In retrospect, I messed up some math and cheated (or spared?) the pax out of about 14 additional burpees (again, probably nerves and being low on time).

True to my name, we practiced a lil backward running after our 6 quarters, and then mosied home for a few minutes of Mary.
