Admittedly, it had been awhile since YHC had posted at #Vortex. Not entirely sure why as it is close to my house and I used to be co-site Q along with Newt. It is a great AO. Weather was perfect – upper 40s, lower 50s. This workout was inspired by one that Uzi did a couple of weeks ago at TBL; although it was a very cheap imitation. But nobody can do justice to an Uzi Q.

Warmup: SSH, 5 burpees OYO, WMH, Manafort GMs, IW, HB, ACs, OC, MC, PP, and slow merkin. Fellowship Lap.

The Thang: 10 Sets of 6 exercises.
The goal was to get the body moving, slowly at first and then getting faster as the muscles warmed up. The exercises were Johnny Dramas, Squats, WWIIs, Flutters, Merkins, and Dry Docks. Starting off slowly – 3 counts for all the exercises (3 count up for the Dramas, 3 count down for squats, 3 count down for WWIIs, slow cadence count for Flutters, and 3 count down for merkins and dry docks). 10 sets of each exercise, followed by a slow jog down the end of the field and back.

Second set was done a little faster (2 count or faster IC count for the flutters), followed by a faster run. 3rd set was done faster (quick up/down/fast cadence) followed by full sprint down and back. 4th set was a repeat of the fastest set and then we did 2 "cool down" sets – 2 count and 3 count; with medium jog and then slow jog in between.

The Thang2: EMOMs
PAX then did EMOMs of 5 burpees, 5 merkins, and 5 squats; increasing the number by 1 for each set, up until 7, and then back down to 5 (although Coxswain went up to 10!).
