The Thang
The inspiration for today’s workout was the somewhat surprising (at least to YHC) fact that one of the things that best correlates to one’s overall health and longevity as people age is their grip strength. But don’t get it twisted- correlation is not causation. If you ONLY strengthen your grip that probably won’t make you healthier. But if you get stronger overall you are more likely to be healthier and live longer, AND your grip will be stronger. So today’s workout was about carrying heavy things.

We started by transporting 4 coupons to the far bleachers at the track. The PAX took a warmup lap around the track while YHC turned the lights on. We met back at the bleachers.

The main task was to farmer carry 2 coupons up and down (2x) the stairs of the bleachers. When it was not your turn to carry, the PAX went thru a circuit of these exercises:
Lunge walk with twist for the length of the bleachers
5 burpees
Bunny hop the length of the bleachers
20 LBCs
Each PAX got in 4 rotations of farmer carry (8 trips up the steps)

The PAX then got in 5 more burpees before transporting the coupons back to the parking lot for Mary and CoT
