So how do you say thank you?

Over the past five years, countless men across the F3 community have contributed to Churham's expansion into the small town of Hillsborough. We didn't know if it would last. Five years later we have AOs and a brotherhood.

In preparation to Q I thought we needed something special. But really this even was a guaranteed success because of the 18 men who showed up and made it exceptional. Plus we were re-telling the story of Cinco de Mayo where we always win but that's getting ahead of ourselves.

WARM-UP
How best to show it's a morning of celebration? Starting off with…..Homer to Marges!
Then arm circles followed by scrum jumps ring of fire style and an OYO stretch of whatever you wanted while YHC prepared the first of five songs. One for each year of the Duck and Weave QO!
Song 1: Good Feeling by Flo Rida (I feel cooler just by typing flow as "flo" and rider as "rida) the instructions were simple the Pax would SSH during the song and when the word "Feeling" was spoken a Merkin was required….over 4 minutes later the Pax felt they were at a dance part y experiencing a remix that needed to end and it did after the 26th merkin was done. With all these feelings it was time for the Thang!

THE THANG
To show his Spanish, YHC informed the Pax to go to "bolas negras" (I always have to Google how to spell this so I don't portray a typical American with limited language skills) and then we moseyed to River Park with a combination of lung walking and jogging.

Song 2: War by Edwin Starr. YHC informed the pax we had traveled back to 1858 and it's the 3 year civil war going on therefore we naturally did plank hold during the song except when the word "war" was sung we had to stand up and either do a jab or a kick with bonus points for shouting like a 9-yr old boy trying to ear his yellow belt at the local karate club. 25 kicks/jabs later we had come on the other side of war. YHC congratulated the pax that we had become President (shout-out to you Prex Benito) and to think what they would do as President. We moseyed to the farmer's market.

YHC asked the OGs what they would do when becoming Mexico's President in 1860. 3 Doors Down mentioned something to do with 3 so YHC took that to mean he wanted us to do 3 burpees so that's what we did. Fish & Chips then proceeded to talk how he would make gummy bears an approved vegetable group and this was health coach approved and we proceeded with our story telling.

Song 3: Money by The Beatles. President Benito actually decided to stop paying his bills after the 3 Year War and this angered his debtors of Span, Great Britain and France. As the song played we completed step-ups until the work "money" was sung where we did an erkin.

We then moseyed up the hill towards Buffay's office and gather together again in the non-smoking (wink wink) area to continue story time. Apparently not paying your bill anger people and warships were launched from our debtors to Mexico to demand payment. YHC lead the Pax in some Boat/Canoe exercises to simulate the journey.

Song 4. We Can Work it Out by The Beatles. Naturally to pay our debts it was time for monkey humpers. And it actually worked! At least for the British and Spanish, they accepted our humping as payment but the bad news was the French was coming after us so we retreated back to the Weaver Street Parking lot.

Luckily for the pax we caught a red light crossing Churton and made the most of this moment by doing perfect form monkey humpers towards ongoing traffic….I know we made the morning of several early morning commuters.

While the Pax may have assumed we were going back for Mary at the parking lot we continued towards Ixtapa where we see a light shining upon a…..pinata? That's right a strategically placed special edition Happy Birthday Minnions pinata.

We circled up for song #5 This Means War by Nickelback (naturally the best band in the world) to simulate the Battle of Puebla vs the French who outnumbered us 2 to 1. No worries we had a plastic bat that was passed around to each Pac member to take a couple swipes at the pinata while various Mary Exercises were completed such as flutters, Ukrainian Hammers, LBCs, Box cutters, and back through the cycle until the pinata I mean the French were defeated!

There were some surprising presents flowing from the pinata including incense and matches. The Pax graciously picked up all the goodies and trash and we made it back to the parking lot for some "I LOVE THE T-BONES" to complete an epic morning together….but wait!

There was an FNG who joined us for Mary. He had arrived 10 minutes late, but stuck it out running around Hillsborough and joining the T-Bones. That was too good of a story to pass up a naming opportunity so he promptly became "Lost Boy."

COT
A big thanks to all for the support over the past 5 years.

COFEETERIA
We take the annual picture with a special Trip Nip presentation (remember you get to hold onto the precious wooden trophy when you Q all 3 Hillsborough AOs in a week) to yours truly, since our Nan-taan Knope was in attendance he was awarded with a special Viva Mexico clay mug, and we proved that 101 ounces of coffee for 19 men is not nearly enough but cold bacon is a great backup plan.

AYE!
-Nickelback
