April 9, 2023

WHEN: 04/05/2023
QIC: Knope
PAX: Banana Slug, Beano, Big Kat, Botched, Oh-Shag-Hennessy, Prancing Horse, The Bus, Thunderstruck
ME HEADCOUNT: 9

Prior to setting up my Q, at this vaunted AO, I reached out to the Qs, to see if there were any parts of the site that hadn't had attention recently. O-Shag and Flapjack suggested that THWM and the Courts hadn't had the love that they deserve as of late. As YHC pondered the upcoming Q, I took to Google Maps, and noticed the 2 courts that sit below the access road, and thought our journey on this day should start there. Once the heavy hitting PAX started rolling in, I knew this was the crew to man this expedition.

To get ready we started with a warm up:
SSH x 24 IC
WMH x 12 IC
Harvester x 12 IC
LBAC x 12 IC
RLBAC x 12 IC
Porta-jon Chinooks x 12 IC
Tempo Merkins x 10
Mosey down THWM to the lower tennis courts

We circled up for a Left Legged Steinl. What is a Steinl you say? High Plank Hold (30 Sec), Bows & Toes (30 sec), 10 Merkins, Peter/Climber/Parkers (Left Leg), 10 Merkins. We then moseyed up to the large courts for a lunge walk/Jack Webb. For every 4 lunge steps, pax perform 1 squat. We then moseyed up to THWM, with all pax facing down the hill, crawl bear inchworm, one round. Mosey back to the lower courts.

Similar to round 1, we did a Right Legged Steinl. Can't have the PAX Be lopsided on my watch! Mosey up to the large courts with alternating travelling burpees and bearcrawls across all 6 courts. Mosey up to THWM. Once there, all PAX faced up the hill, bear crawl inchworm, one round, mosey back to the lower courts.

Round three was similar, to the above. On the lower courts, we knocked out 100 LBCs SC, 30 Flutters IC, 20 Hello Dollys IC, then up to the large courts. We started at court 3, and alternated between broad jumps and bunny hops. When we got done, we moseyed to the stairs leading to THWM, and knocked out 50 Johnny Dramas, SC, then 50 bent knee Johnny Dramas, SC. Once we got to THWM, we lined up again in a bear crawl inchworm, until we crossed the gate.

Mary was clipped due to time, but we covered core in round three.

COT – We talked about what a name means. Often, when we see each other in the wild, we only know our F3 names, names that we give each other to show that we accept each other, and are responsible for each other. These are the names that build us, names that build community. There is no room in F3 to tear a man down, to use names and words that break the bond, names and words that destroy, names that corrode. You are my brothers, thank you for taking responsibility for me, it is an honor to take responsibility for you.

YHC took us out.
