When I signed up to Q at the Jag, I was very excited. When I realized it was the day after the championship game, and UNC was playing….not quite as excited. Sure it would have been the ultimate fartsack to not show up, but no way no how. Even after UNC's loss I felt compelled to lead and give one last homage to March Madness.

The Thang
We worked backwards from the championship winner (1 team) to the original 64 doing an exercise based on the number of teams in each round and repeating the exercise from the prior round(s) each round. After each full round we also included a trivia question and used those results to add one extra exercise.

Here are the exercises we used for each round:

Round 1: The Champion – 1 Team = 1 Lap – Rotating between a variety of modes of transportation — either OH Block Carry, Firemans Carry, Bear Crawl, and Crab Walk
Round 2: Added the Championship Game – 2 Teams = 2 Blockees with a bicep Curl
Round 3: Added Final Four – 4 Teams = Side Lunges with the Block (4 on each side)
Round 4: Added Elite Eight: 8 Shoulder Presses with the Block
Round 5: Added Sweet Sixteen: 16 WWIIs
Round 6: Added The Round of 32: 32 Carolina Dry Docks
Round 7: Added The Original 64: Flutter Kicks — single count for all 64
Round 8: Added The Play in Game (68 total teams) — we did not get to this but it was intended to be OH Claps, Seal Claps, and Arm Circles

So in between each round, here are the exercises derived from the trivia questions:
– 18 Brady Maneks (the renamed exercise for Bobby Hurley for us UNC fans) – Has anyone ever completed a perfect bracket (in the public domain) – NO — why, because there is a 1 in 9.2 Quintillion chance of getting it right. That is a number with 18 zeros
– 14 Squats with the Block – What is the estimated $ figure lost by Corporate America due to March Madness –$14 Billion
– 8 Burpees – Highest paid coach in the tournament? John Calipari – $8 Million annually
– 5 or 11 can't remember and can't remember the exercise – oops – How many 11 Seeds made Final Four — 5 — LSU, VCU, George Mason, Loyola Chicago, UCLA
– 10 Bicep Curls – How many 15 Seeds won a first round game? — 10 — First was Richmond over Syracuse in 1991, and last was St. Peters over Kentucky this year
– 8 Homer to Marge with the Block – Lowest Seed to win the Tournament? — 8 — Villanova
– 4 – Burpees – Total Number of Kansas Championships
– 39 – LBCs (Ran out of time) – Who won the First NCAA Championship Game and what year – Oregon 1939

Mary — a total of 64 WWIIs and 128 Flutter Kicks during the Thang filled the Mary requirement

Announcements — fill the Q sheet. Vice is next week, but pretty open after that

COT:
YHC spoke of a friend who had discomfort in his abodmin, went to the doctor and learned he had colon cancer. He is only 42 years old. He caught it early, had surgery and is in remission. My message was about "Don't put off til tomorrow, what you can take care of today" (in all aspects of life).
This led to Montecristo sharing about his experience with Colon Cancer (13 years ago) after a routine colonoscopy revealed he had cancer with no symptons.

So gentlemen of the 45+ age group — make your Colonoscopy Appts today.

Until next time….Aye!
