The things we invest in have much greater value than the things we simply possess or consume. Vegetables you grow have greater intrinsic value to you because of your investment than purchasing those same vegetables at the store. Look around your life. Where would your investment of time and energy create extraordinary value in ordinary spaces? Maybe it’s helping a child learn a skill, or teaching your dog a trick. Maybe it’s changing your oil instead of paying someone else to. Maybe it’s making a meal instead of buying a prepared one. Invest in the ordinary to create the extraordinary.
