03/02/2022 The King’s Dominion – Keep it simple, keep ’em moving

March 2, 2022

WHEN: 03/02/2022
QIC: Kia
PAX: Scribbles, Fiddle Sticks, Swamp, Hutz, Cherry Bake, Red Tape, Loonie, Crash Cart, Lap Lane, and Awesome Baby
ME HEADCOUNT: 11

I struggled to come up with some complicated and fancy workout that would cause PAX to talk about it for the remainder of time.
Instead, I decided to keep it simple and keep everyone moving. Apologies to those that did this workout several weeks ago with me.

The warm up: SSH x 20, Imperial Walker, Hillbilly, Good morning, slow squat, arm circles

The main event:
SSH
LBC
Merkin
Squat
Burpees
A increasing number of reps each round x 5, x 10, x 15, x 20, x 15, x 10, x5
Between each round- a “recovery” run to the end of the parking lot
The burpees seemed to be coming around too quickly so some additional ab exercises were thrown in at the last minute.

Mary: Fiddle Sticks lead us in some flutter kicks. I hate those things- thanks for leading, Fiddle Sticks.

COT: Prayer requests for Bitcoin’s mother and one other item I am not able to recall (my apologies)
YHC took us out.
The world at times seems to be literally and figuratively falling apart. Between the war currently raging in Eastern Europe and the anger and hostility that seems to be part of our current political landscape- it’s hard to see the positive. I find it difficult sometimes to feel like I can personally make a positive impact on the world. I challenged everyone this morning to focus on the small part of the world that we do impact. Go out of our way to help someone or be positive and friendly when presented with a situation that could go the other way. We can make a difference and if we all positively impact those around us- it will spread. Treat each other as we want to be treated.
Thank you again for posting with me this morning. It’s always a pleasure posting at The Kings Dominion.
