Now… off to find the ISS (International Space Station). I was candidly watching the news Sunday morning getting ready for church and the meteorologist announced an opportunity to see the ISS this morning at 0541. It was our destiny!

We moseyed to a not so well lit area around the athletic fields as to protect our eyes from all the surrounding light pollution. While we gazed into the dark sky, YHC called SSH (~24 IC) and then settled in for a couple rounds of squat holds looking toward the WNW direction. While we waited for the ISS, I started to get a little nervous that we would miss it or the cloud cover would prevent observation. The PAX was so quiet and eager to see the ISS; ChiPs was so engaged he said I could have convinced him that the ISS was going to land on the football field. And then to all our amazement, the ISS came into view and travelled across our morning sky – if you’ve not see it before – find a time to do so!
