Today’s work out at the Piranha is momentous for many reasons. It is my first time posting and Qing at The Piranha since suffering yet another injury and setback. On December 26, 2021, I ruptured my left Achilles tendon while mountain biking. I had surgery on it, for the second time, a few days later. I’m still in a boot and quite limited as far as mobility goes, but the fellowship of my F3 brothers has made it very important to me to make an effort to get back out in the gloom.
It is also my first time back at The Piranha with two new site Qs, Count Chocula and Looney. Both definitely fit the definition of high impact men. Only one man enough to show. Noted.
I always enjoy a theme when I Q, because I feel it can distract you from the exercises and provides some variety. Being a little rusty made planning this workout difficult, but I wanted to come up with something meaningful.
We did NOT celebrate any of the very worthy celebrity birthday that take place today such as Nick Nolte, Vince Neil, John Grisham, Gary Coleman, or Alonzo Mourning.
We did NOT celebrate the anniversary of the first NFL draft in 1936 or the anniversary of the Cleveland Browns moving to Baltimore in 1996.
We did NOT even celebrate the #1 song in 1992, I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred.
With the start of the Winter Olympic Games this past week in Beijing, China, a traditional Olympic themed workout seemed almost too easy to put together.
Instead, as I sit here in a post operative boot unable to walk normally, I decided instead to shine a light on something a little bit more interesting and unless you are intimately affected, most people don’t have a great understanding of.
