5 for EC CoW courtesy of Shakeit and 13PAX for the ME to see what YHC had up his sleeve. YHC braved the long (read: maybe 5 more minutes outside my normal radius) drive up north to see what all the fuss was about. So glad I did! Y’all need to get up here if you can, this ish is off the heezy, for real. Let’s get to work.
- Warmup:
- SSH IC x20
- Imperial Walkers IC x10
- Willie Mays Hayes IC x10
- Good mornings IC x10
- Slow Merkins IC x20
- Mosey to the bottom of Chubb’s Hill
- The Thang:
- Phase 1: Chubb’s Hill – DORA
- DORA 1-2-3
- PAX partner up for a DORA on the first half of Chubb’s Hill
- Exercises:
- 100 Spiderman Merkins
- 200 WWIIs
- 300 Single count lunges
- Travel: Backwards run
- First PAX backwards run to the top of Chubb’s hill, run back down
- Second PAX does exercise until first PAX returns
- Exercises:
- Q made a few modifications here to shorten the run and speed up this phase
- Once PAX got to the lunges, we changed travel to bear crawl to the next light post and run back to keep things moving
- With most PAX well on their way through the SC lunges, YHC made a call to move to the last phase due to time running out
- Phase 2: Chubb’s Hill – Yurpee Triple Triple
- All PAX complete 3 Yurpees, run to the next light, 3 Yurpees run back down
- Repeat 3x for 3x3x3x
- A Yurpee is a Burpee with a little flair. PAX will complete a Burpee, but the merkin at bottom of burpee is a clap-merkin and on up portion there are 2 tuck jumps per burpee
- Mosey back to start for Mary
- Mary:
- With only 1 minute to spare (Durham time) we knocked out Mary
- Flutter kicks IC x50 BOOM!
- Phase 1: Chubb’s Hill – DORA
Announcements/Prayer requests:
- Shakeit’s M is getting induced on Friday. Big congratulations to the Shakeit family and welcome to the fatherhood club!
COT:
YHC has been wanting to make the trip up to North Durham and Hurricanrana for a long time. I knew the only way to make that happen was to get on the Q-sheet. Thanks to a soft nudge from Soda, YHC put my name on the sheet and well, the rest is now history. The North Durham boys have a great thing going up here, and honestly it was not a big deal to make the extra 5-10 minute drive. I am really glad I did. Thanks to the leadership of Chowdah, Soda, Shakeit, and Tatertot, the North Durham guys have a strong group of HIMs. Thank you gentlemen for the opportunity to lead and I look forward to my next trip up north soon.
