Strong effort by the PAX this morning!!
In prep for my Q this morning I peaked at the aerial photo of SCP to get a feel for the landscape down South at the OGF3CHAO. The layout reminded me of the innerworkings of a timepiece with all of it’s circular, connected pathways. This added inspiration to my return visit to Bastille, an AO I had not posted at in almost a month.
Warm Up IC x15
- Willy Mays Hayes
- Smurf Jacks
- Imperial Walkers
- Seal Jacks
- Slow Merkins
- Eight Count Body Builders
The Thang
Part 1 (20 minutes, timed)
- Partner 1: Travelling Burpees switching to Bunny Hops at half way point; Clockwise around entire parking lot, nonstop.
- Partner 2: 85% Max Effort Run clockwise around the circular pond path whilst crushing 20 Merkins each time he passes The Picnic Shelter, which equates to 40 Merkins per cycle.
- When Partner 2 finishes his running with Merkins circuit he relieves Partner 1 wherever Partner 1 is at that time.
We wind up our clocks each day to power ourselves and pour energy into our work, our families, our friends. Getting out in the gloom with a bunch of friends is an awesome way to wind up. It was a blast doing this circuit with partners and together as a group at the same time. I don’t actually know what part of this circuit provided me with the energy I speak of. Perhaps it was when the timer went off after 20 minutes?
Transition IC x30
- Body Weight Squats
- Windmills
Part 2
- Bear Crawl from Yellow Posts to bottom of Parking lot; Pick6 if you finish quickly.
- Enter the Hockey Rink and Wheel Barrow to opposite side.
- Switch with your partner and Wheel Barrow back to start.
- One more round of Wheel Barrows down and back!
- Crawl Bear from bottom of Parking lot to the Yellow Posts; Pick6 if you finish rapidly.
Mary IC x30
- Russian Hammers

- Upstate Box Cutters
COT
- Lift up DOI’s M and her entire family as they navigate through a recent cancer diagnosis.
- Pull for safe and adventurous times for our BRR PAX as they stroll through the NC mountains.
- Check Slack for details on upcoming 5k fundraisers.
- ETE and his cat, Turtle, led a cool, crisp ruck through the impressive SV hills this morning. ETE carried Turtle the last half mile so Eddie gets partial credit for a petite coupon ruck this AM. Turtle did not stick around for the ME so she did not get an official F3 nickname. I do believe Eddie tops the mileage leaderboard for Ruck Your Cat (RYC).
It was a pleasure leading this AM. Thank you!
