When YHC checked the forecast last night, he was not enthused to embrace the gloom. But when your name it on the Q sheet, you gotta show up (unless you’re Coco). Love the accountability of F3 and the constant pull to be there for your brothers regardless of what that little voice in the back of your head is saying. With his brain properly reset, YHC decided that the only way to combat the cold, was to bring the heat! With some constant motion and hills.
7 PAX with questionable decision-making showed up for EC man-makers and felt the pain of cold metal on the finger tips to start the day.
22 reported for the ME and YHC took the advice of the immortal Bear Grylles for the much needed warm-up. He always stressed the importance of starting a fire, but in my memory Bear Grylles once said something about doing side-shuffle hops at a rapid speed to “sling” the blood to your extremities to increase circulation and stay warm. YHC is almost sure this happened on an episode of Man Vs. Wild, but a quick google search only produced a video of him doing naked callisthenics in the snow. Here’s the link because is everyone watches it, YHC will feel better about watching it himself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWgPut17L_A

Long mosey all the way around the outside drives to the bottom of the big hill with brick circle.
Quick explanation of the plan – 5 stations with 20 reps at each station
Bottom of the hill x 20, run up to top of circle x 20, run back down to bottom x 20, run all the way up to road x 20, run back down to bottom x 20. 100 total reps of each called exercise. Pick up the six or plank it out when you’re done.
Round 1: Air Squats
Round 2: Merkins
Round 3: WWII’s
Round 4: Monkey Humpers
Round 5: Burpees (short on time, so only 10 at each stop and didn’t make the last trip back down – so 40 total)
Mosey back to the parking lot with no time for Mary. Total distance covered 2.6 miles…Nice!
No announcements or prayer request, so YHC took us out with a quick reminder to take the inspiration of F3 with you out into the world. Help those in need, volunteer somewhere, EH your buddy/co-worker/neighbor. After all who doesn’t want to have get 12 year old youtube links to see a man do naked callisthenics in the snow? Thanks for the chance to lead and the great effort to get out on a cold morning.
