Even though the sun was not yet up, it was a guarantee that the sky was going to be Carolina Blue! The day prior ended with a UNC victory over Arkansas AND a Duke defeat by South Carolina. I guess the home court advantage for South Carolina was a legit concern. In celebration of UNC”s move into the Sweet Sixteen we conducted today”s workout on the basketball court. A total of 20 PAX were in attendance to join the celebratory workout. This was a new AO record! We”re on to something here at the Eagle. FLY! SOAR!
WARM UP:
SSH (x25), Prisoner Squat (x15), Arm Circles (x10 forward, x10 backwards), Windmills (x15), Willie Mays Hayes (x10)
THE THANG:
The PAX was broken into six groups of three and one group of two. All groups were assigned to one of seven stations on the basketball court. At each station, there were a total of three exercises to complete (AMRAP each exercise for 30 seconds, with 15 seconds of rest in between). Each group would then rotate to the next sequential station. Each group rotated through all seven stations detailed below:
STATION 1: Balls to the Wall, People”s Chair, Wall Plank Alt. Shoulder Taps
STATION 2: Walking Lunges, Walking Lunges, Walking Lunges
STATION 3: Tricep Extension, Bicep Curls, Front Lateral Raise
STATION 4: Alternating Basketball Layups, Merkins, Burpees
STATION 5: Front Squat, Straight Leg Deadlift, Shoulder Press
STATION 6: Alternating Basketball Layups, Merkins, Burpees
STATION 7: Sandbag Squat, Thrusters, Sandbag Swings
The PAX finished up the main event by running four laps around the track. Note that after the completion of each individual lap, five burpees were completed.
