BOM

  • So recently I have spent some time thinking about how to be happy for other people success. What really triggered that is that I’m following this woman on Instagram who is trying to break the world record for running a marathon on consecutive days. She is going for 100 straight and is up to 37. This woman also just happens to be an amputee and only has one leg. Well recently after marathon 35 the woman stated that on that day she ran a half marathon in the morning and then one in the afternoon because of an issue with her son. To me, no big deal, but the amount of people that vilified her for not running the miles consecutively was absolutely insane. The woman ended up feeling so bad about it that she ran a second marathon that day just to ensure her record kept going. Obviously we all struggle a bit with envy and we constantly have to fight it within ourselves. I just really encouraged the PAX to check themselves on this and be sure that they find a way to teach themselves and their families how to be happy with other peoples success. Without that, I really believe we will never truly be happy ourselves. Until next time!
