We will need new suits…

August 8, 2018

WHEN: 08/07/2018
QIC: Knope
PAX: Banana Split, Bells, Bluth, Funny Money, Green Egg, Malware, Pebbles, Richard Simmons, Roach, SalPal, Soda Popinski, Threepeat, Toolbox, Weenie Roast, Knope

The inspiration for this workout comes from something Coco mentioned a few weeks ago in a post on Slack.  He provided a link to a great deal on suits and blazers with the mention of getting “swole” from working out, and needing new clothes.  What a great goal; to have to buy a new suit, because your old one is too small in the chest and shoulders.  In the spirit of my new goal I was excited this morning when 15 PAX appeared from the heavy gloom, to join me in doing just that.

The Thang

As mentioned above, we got our swole on today doing a Super 21 workout.  Our Super 21 consisted of Merkins and Boxcutters.  The PAX lined up on the sideline of Tennis Court 1, and ran to the far sideline of Tennis Court 4, and did one Merkin and one Boxcutter.  PAX ran back to the start for two Merkins and two Boxcutters.  This process went on until the PAX built up to 21 Merkins and 21 Boxcutters.  To give a break, the PAX did 10 body weight squats halfway into the run at the 10, 12,14,16,18, and 20 intervals.  This workout minimized mumblechatter, and maximized grunts, groans, and wheezing.  Super 21s were the perfect workout for the time we had.

No announcements.  Prayer requests for Sal Pal and his girlfriend, Elizabeth, for her move to Nashville, TN and for their relationship with distance.  We also prayed for kids going back to school today, and for the families preparing to go back at the end of the month.

It’s always a pleasure to lead such a fine group of gentlemen, SYITG.
