YHC ran with the rabbits pretty consistently but fell off last year as I got sucked into the routine of bootcamps and out of running. I made an appearance a couple of weeks ago in prepartion for todays Q and nope it didn’t prepare me but after a good crowd gathered the festivities began..

Warm Up:

WMH

IW

FAC/RAC with Calf stretch

Butt Kickers

30 sec OYO Stretch

ME:

With headlamps on and watches synchronized we started down Great Ridge Parkway toward Mann’s Chapel and hung a left onto Vandalia and passed by Huckleberry and Skynet’s houses to the end and paused. At that point I reiterated the plan which was to Run up and around Chauncey Circle (little bit of hill work) and back down to the start.

The catch was that when the faster rabbits reached the start again they either had to perform Merkins and squats til the 6 arrived or they had to Bernie Sanders back up the hill til they reached the 6 and finish with them (Them being me.. always me).

We repeated this for a total of 5 laps.

As the last lap came to completion DB gave us quite the humble brag about getting 80 merkins in (compared to my 0) so we decided as a group to get him his final 20 to meet 100 mark.

We then ran back to the AO and let Homes finish his mile up on his watch.

Mary:

At that point YHC was done so we jumped into announcements.

Announcements:

  • Leprechaun Dash on March 12 in Pittsboro supporting the Y. Sign up to race or signup to volunteer.
  • Run for Malawi on April 23. Team sign ups and sponsorship opportunities still available so check slack.
  • Chum named off many of the opportunities coming in the next couple months for convergences, CSAUP, and Quarterly Report.
  • Prayers for Brotox family as his grandfather passed away.

COT

Not much to say but it was good coming back out to the rabbit and leading it (may have been my VQ for the rabbit). Glad to have some of the regulars out there and get some miles in again.
