YHC has been low on Q’s in 2019, so snatched up a prime slot for The Battering Ram. This also gave a second opportunity to try out a wacky idea.

The PAX warmed up pretty much as per usual (SSH, Willie Mays Hays, Imperial Walkers, etc…) and were introduced to two FNKs and one FNG.

The ME:

Here’s the general idea: do a thing, time it (start to last PAX finishing), and base the reps of the next exercises on the time. (Note to anyone who may want to try this: use a stopwatch if you have one, YHC has discovered for the second time now that a smartphone is a bit clunky)

Thus, the PAX were timed running across the field (23 seconds), running backward across the field (27 seconds) and bear crawling from the blue line to the first white line (25 seconds). This translated to 23 burpees, 27 merkins, and 25 WWIIs.

Next, the PAX bear crawled across the field (115 seconds), lunge walked across the field (105 seconds), and took a lap around the field (132 seconds). Thus 115 squats (5 sets of 20, one set of 15), 105 mountain climbers (5 sets of 20, one set of 5 in cadence), and 132 SSHs (three sets of 40, one set of 12 in cadence).

The PAX mosey’d on to the Law School, and were timed doing 3 burpees (9 seconds). Thus, all the PAX lined up along the wall for The People’s Chair, each doing a 9 count down the line.

Then, the PAX were timed doing three squats (4 seconds). Thus, the PAX lined up along the wall for BTTW, each doing a 4 count down the line.

Finally, the PAX were timed doing 3 merkins (5 seconds). Thus, the PAX lined up shoulder to shoulder in plank and each did a 5 count low plank hold going down the line.

The PAX mosey’d back to Hooker Fields (120 seconds). This translated to 60 LBCs and 60 flutter kicks. This wasn’t quite enough for Uzi, so he added 22 burpees OYO.
