Mosey to the block pile and grab a block for Thang 1.
Thang 1: Blatantly stolen from Shake It’s workout earlier this week at House of Pain with only minor modifications.
- Rd 1 was 20 block curls, 10 blockees, 20 squat thrusters, 20 block curls, 10 blockees, 20 squat thrusters. Then mosey a lap around the parking lot.
- Rd 2 was a repeat of Rd 1 with mosey.
- Rd 3 only once through the 20 block curls, 10 blockees, and 20 squat thrusters with mosey.
After returning our blocks we set out on a mosey for Thang 2.
Thang 2: Mosey to the first traffic circle and bear crawl around it. Mosey to the second traffic circle and crab walk around it. Mosey to the bottom of the hill. Bernie Sanders back up the hill, stopping halfway up and again at the top to regroup and for 10 count plank holds. Mosey back to the AO for Mary.
Short on time so just one 6 count Merkin ring of fire.

Before the PAX arrived I had planted the shovel flag (guest appearance by The Big House shovel flag since both Paradise co-Qs were unable to make it this morning) and was doing some stretches while thinking about what my COT message was going to be. There’s lots of heavy stuff going on in America right now with the Covid pandemic continuing, signs of economic depression about, and race relations once again boiling over. I was thinking about these things when Nightshift came rolling in blasting a very catchy and upbeat tune (I thought it was Stacy’s Mom, but that wasn’t quite it). At that point it hit me…in the midst of all that’s going on in the world it’s still summertime, one of the most glorious times of the year. While we shouldn’t ignore current events of the day, we also shouldn’t overlook the fact that we only get one summer each year. Don’t forget to go out and have some fun with family and friends as best we can this summer–it will be over before we know it. Until next time, Aye!
