The Triple Threat…HOP style

31 PAX entered the gloom on this fine Summer morning to experience a Triple Threat of unworldly dimensions.  This was YHC’s VQ at HOP, and I wanted to cook up a workout that took a little bit from all that HOP has to offer.  The fact that twice as many PAX showed up for the fun than YHC expected, made it even better!  So, without further ado, we got to work.

  • Warmup
    • SSH IC x20
    • Imperial Walkers IC x20
    • Willie Mays Hayes IC x12
    • Peter Parkers IC x20
    • AC x 20 big and small
  • The Thang
    • The PAX took a fellowship paced jog around the church and to the coupon pile to get started.  We circled up and did a quick count off by 3s.
    • 3 teams were assembled and YHC explained the pain that was about to ensue.
    • Station 1: Log(s) – I never envisioned using both logs, but the PAX showed up and the logs did too!
      • Carry the log(s) above your head on 1 lap around the church
      • Bring log(s) to shoulders as needed throughout – last person in line leads the log
      • Goal is to keep log(s) above head as much as possible
    • Station 2: Steel – large parking lot
      • Grab steel for each member of team and mosey to the bottom of the large parking lot
      • Commence beat down of 20 Curls, 20 Goblet squats, sprint to top of hill and back down
      • Repeat until Log team returns, go to station 3 (Teams got 3-5 sets in depending on Log team pace)
    • Station 3: Tire – small parking lot
      • Bear crawl centipede with tire flips (Official F3 name pending…Goliath Crawl, Gorilla Flips??)
      • First PAX in line flips the tire then runs to the back of the line, next PAX up flips tire, etc.
      • Everyone else slowly bear crawls following tire until time to flip
      • The team will complete laps around the lower islands in this fashion until Steel team swaps out.  Then go to station 1.
    • Continue until all teams have completed each station.
    • With the PAX ready for more, we headed back to the start for Mary

    • Plank position – Left arm raise, regular, right arm raise

Crocket took us out!

With the 31 PAX involved, the Triple Threat did not disappoint.  And neither did our FNG CLEAR!!  The man had heart surgery last year and he made it through the work out.  T-claps to you Sir, and welcome!

YHC was humbled and honored to lead such a large group of men, leaders, fathers, and sons.  This was one of the biggest groups that YHC has seen since beginning F3 not too many months ago.  F3 Churham is alive and well.  Let’s keep it going…
