The Flu Can’t Stop TBL

March 27, 2017

WHEN: 03/27/2017
QIC: F3Churham
PAX: Our two FNGs were Grasshopper and Black Diamond… otherwise too many to remember… you know who you are… Floyd pulled a Starsky though.. thats memorable.

Five pax started their morning off right with a little spreadsheet love: the merkin mile – with Coco as our fearless leader, every 1/4 mile was met with 25 merkins – those local neighborhoods will never be the same – I believe it was 3.25 miles? YHC”s arms believe it was more like a 7 mile run… but then again you can”t trust those two, you know?
Our steadfast site Q had come down with a nasty case of influenza – YHC and Coco took a last minute audible and led 24 pax (including 2 FNGs) for a nice little tour of TBL
Warm-up yog down to the lower soccer field (mind blown already??) – standard fare SSH, good mornings, etc… while the Durham time pax made their way down
X”s
Round 1: 10 merkins, sprint the diagonal, 10 merkins, plank it out
Round 2: 10 air squats, sprint the diagonal, 10 air squats, lunge walk the side, 10 air squats, plank it out
Round 3: 10 mountain climbers, sprint the diagonal, 10 MC, bear crawl the side, 10 MC, sprint the diagonal, 10 MC, bear crawl the side, 10 MC, plank it out
Over to the rock garden, 2 handed rock – over to the basketball court – honesty check (rotate to the left 2-3 rocks every exercise to ensure equity in pain)… lots of bicep curls, shoulder press, bent over row, thrusters, squats
Over to Coco
Grab some coupons (60lb sand bag, 4 water jugs) and make a transcontinental journey through the woods to the track
The pax were split into 3 equal groups, each group had a coupon (2 jugs or 1 sandbag) – at every corner, do merkins, start with 5, then 10, 15… until your arms were jelly – each pax shared the pain with carrying the coupon
Next set was 5 airsquats and 1 burpee, next corner, 10 airsquats, 2 burpees… just keep going until you run out of time
Mosey back for 5000 count flutter kicks (didn”t know Coco could count that high)
COT
Moleskin
– The Bull, 4/1, 0600, Durham… be there.
