YHC was thinking it would be a smaller crowd this am as 42 or so PAX mastered the Spartan race yesterday.  Much to his surprise and excitement, the cars kept coming and coming and coming.  There were 29 in all and a great surprise to see so many from Kenan joining the usual Devils Ridge group.  Warmup:

We were off for a run to the BFH.  The plan was to do track work and we needed to get warmed up.  We started with a run up the hill, 10 merkins, run down, 10 merkins and plank for the group to catch up.  Next was a backwards run up the hill, 10 merkins, run down, 10 merkins and plank.  Finally we bear crawled up, 10 merkins, ran down, 10 merkins and plank.

We headed to the track for some running work.  The group did a 4 corners type 400 with 10 merkins at each stop.  The next lap was squats at each stop.  The third lap was open for suggestions.  Coco’s mumble chatter all morning was around burpees.  I believe it was Riggs that suggested a merkin with the burpee and I think it was EZ Pass that had the fine suggestion of a hand release marking at that.  So, we did 5 hand release merkin burpees at each stop for our third lap.  We were out of time so did a final fellowship pace lap and started to head back for COT.  We did stop for BTTW and finally made it back for LBC x 25.
