You could say there were many QICs at The Bull. Some lead squads between AOs. Some lead AOs. Some lead both. Credit for the QIC is given to Floyd who planned the event, enlisted leaders, and keep things on track. Shoutout to Knope too for putting together the 2nd project and Scapula for driving the sag wagon. There would have been some men down if not for the fuel stop!
Warmarama
Burpee countdown from 5 with exercises between including SSH, Harvesters, arm circles, WMH, Merkins, and Squats
Main Event
2 mosey, 1 running, and 1 rucking groups headed off. I believe you can guess what the runners and ruckers did between AOs, but what about the mosey groups? 20 minutes to travel .6 miles to the first stop created opportunity… and opportunity should not be wasted!
Mosey Group 1 traveled by Bataan Death March and Toy Soldier Burpees; repeat. Circled up for reverse Merkins and Squats IT. Crab Walked with LBC intervals the remaining distance.
Mosey Group 2 choose not to share what they did. Witnesses cite they took at least one nap and had one restorative circle.
AO 1 – DPAC hill
Dora 1, 2, 3: HR Merkins, LBCs, and Bobby Hurley; Crawl Bear up the hill and mosey back down.
6” hold between rounds of Hello Dolly, Box Cutters, and Flutters. Homer to Marge IC, IT, and single leg IC. Stretch until the buzzer.
The next AO was 1 mile. For Mosey Group 1 that meant a Burpee Mile. That’s 8 Burpees each quarter mile. We routed through the farmers market for good measure.
AO 2 – Downtown Durham Dog Park
Weeds were vanquished, grit was spread, and litter was removed. I believe Golden Boy’s finding a cathode-ray tube TV was the highlight.
AO 3 – Duke Park
Derkins, Erkins, Dips, Step Ups, Dips, and Erkins in the picnic tables. Repeato on the rock walls. Merkin Ring of Fire.
Mosey Group 1 worked in Absolution, Burpees , and Hip Slapper in the way to AO 4. As we were the first to arrive, SSH while naming the 5 requirements of an F3 workout. As is often the case, COT costed us penalty Burpees. Low Squat hold until one could name the F3 mission statement. Tclaps to Smog for calling it.
Our mission is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.
AO 4 – N Durham Park
Split into 3 groups.
1. Hold Plank while one by one PAX scaled 2 walls.
2. Bucket Brigade with the Ruck Sacks.
3. PAX held plank while one by one they went from the back to the front via Traveling Burpee.
As you know they do, Mosey Group 1 traveled in style on the final leg making time to memorialize the event at the bull statute.
