Sorry (Not Sorry)

PAX: Minecraft, Tai Chi, CHiPs, Chum, and Dodgeball (FNG)

YHC had a different Dora-type workout initially planned, but then read about the Millenial in a backblast (I think it was by Appomattox).  Thought it sounded fun and beneficial, so onto the weinke it went.

Warm-Up

  • SSH
  • Imperial Walkers
  • Slow Merkins
  • Stretches
  • Pax Choice

Main Event

Mosey to Traffic Circle and Partner Up for The Millenial.  One partner runs a lap of the traffic circle while the other performs the exercises below.  Switch once the runner returns.  10 rounds.  Each partner must complete a minimum of 100 reps of assigned exercise in each round.  End goal is 10 exercises x 100 reps = 1,000 (hence the Millenial name).

  1. Merkins
  2. Squats
  3. Flutterkicks (4-count)
  4. Wide Merkins
  5. Mountain Climber
  6. LBC
  7. OH Clap
  8. SSH
  9. Hammers
  10. Burpees

YHC had some concerns that we would be time-constrained.  Unfortunately, I was right and the initial goal of 100 reps per exercise was too ambitious.  We made it halfway through, and then audibled to one iteration of AMRAP reps and one lap beginning with #6 (LBCs).  We were still pinched on time, so YHC made the call to skip #9 (Hammers) to ensure that we ended with burpees (because you never ever skip the burpees) – sorry (not sorry).  Routine would/could have worked better if we performed it “Dora-style” with the 100 reps being as a team vs. individual.

Mary: None (Incorporated into Main Event)

Announcements: Welcome, Dodgeball (PE teacher)!  You did well.

COT/BOM:

Had initially planned to try and incorporate Millenial jargon into the workout, but I don’t really know any.  But it doesn’t matter.  Go out and be good, kind, and humble.  Act like men.
