Six Years Down for Fetzer/Kenan

December 30, 2019

WHEN: 12/30/2019
QIC: Shooter
PAX: Dogwood, Foghorn Leghorn, Slug, Big Kat, Nightshift

The Monday morning on-campus A.O. once known as Fetzer and now known as Kenan convened for at least the 312th consecutive week (dating back to the beginning of 2014) and completed six years of continuous operation with no known or remembered stoppages for weather, holidays or other rot. Six PAX were greeted at 0545 with 68 degree temperatures—perfect to work up a nice sweat and burn off some of those holiday calories.

The Thang:

Warmup SSH x 20, Squats x 10, Willie Mays Hays x 10, OYO ham and calve stretches.

We ventured into Kenan Stadium for 35 minutes of good old-fashioned cardio: 20 minutes of running the stairs and 15 of running intervals around the field—sprinting/running/jogging the length, walking the width, repeato until time’s up.

Then a quick round of Mary with Russian Hammers, Heels to Heavens, WWIIs and Flutters, count 20 on each.

And with that, it’s on to 2020 and a reminder from the great financier J.P. Morgan:  “The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you’re not going to stay where you are.”
