I started thinking about what I wanted to do for the Vortex Q and Sidecar chimed in saying he wanted to give his legs a break and work on his upper body physique. Trying to help him out we scheduled a heavy metal EC. 0500 and 6 PAX showed up to lift metal with no sign of Sidecar. 30 minutes of heavy metal ensued to an Amazon Metal playlist that included some nice and peaceful nonmetal music. At 0530 4 more PAX showed up with a few more cinderblocks for the main event while Sidecar continued to snooze away.
Warm Up – 30xSSH, 10 merkins, 10 mountain climbers, 10 merkins, 10F/R Arm Circles, 10 Merkins
Main event – After talking with having talk with Spooky the previous week about what a DORA actually was I headed to the F3 lexicon and found there were many variations of a DORA. Having sprained my toe during a fierce game of bearcrawl crabwalk handball the day before I found DORA’s friendly cousin, Diego. For Diego everyone pairs up and grabs a 30lb weight of choice. The exercises were 100 merkins, 150 Overhead presses, 200 LBC’s, 250 Block Curls, 300 Squats with weight. While 1 PAX exercise the 2nd PAX got to choose their choice of travel, bearcrawl out to end of goalie line and crab walk back, farmer(30lb)/suitcase(60lb) carry to midfield and back or run to the other side of field and back.
After Diego the intention was to go do a nice ladder at the picnic tables but we were running out of time. We decided to do a 5, 10, 15 ladder of Merkins, Balls to the fence (X counts/PAX) and crab jacks (cadence) on the field to save time.
Thanks for coming out guys, you all make it easy and fun to lead, SYITG!
