I signed up for the Q a couple weeks ago and was excited to be leading today. With the potential for rain this morning I encouraged the PAX to wear a rain jacket or windbreaker and we lucked up being in the Northern Province because the rain was mostly south of us. We saw some sprinkles at the beginning and end but during the main event were able to stay mostly dry. Here’s what went down:
WARM-UP:
20 SSH, 10 WMH, 10 Good Mornings, 10 Arm Circles, 10 Michael Phelps, 10 mountain climbers
THE THANG:
PAX moseyed to the softball field for the 7 of diamonds; at each base an exercise was performed. Round 1 was 7 burpees, Round 2 was14 flutter kicks, Round 3 was 21 merkins, Round 4 was 28 squats, Round 5 was 21 LBC’s, Round 6 was 14 Johnny Drama’s, & Round 7 was Carolina dry docks. Next we sprinted across the field starting with 25% speed, then 50%, 75%, & lastly > than 75%. Mosey to the gym wall where we did a ring of fire 10 count to balls to the wall and peoples chair. Repeated with the same exercises but with a 5 count.
Mary:
Due to time constraints, Mary was incorporated throughout the workout above so we moseyed back to the flag and did a 10 count ring of fire plank hold to finish things out.
COT:
Prayers for Busch League’s Aunt in Ga recovering from covid complications, Halfback’s parents fighting covid complications, Dinghy hanging on for one more day as a single Dad while his M is on vacation, and Roy’s upcoming surgery. Elf mentioned a holiday ruck in Durham for those interested – reach out to him for details. Dinghy signed up for the Christmas Eve Q.
It was an honor to lead the PAX of the Northern Province today. Everyone pushed each other as always. Aye!
