YHC felt randy enough after a month convalescence from a high-hamstring pull to venture back into the world of F3 Qs. Nothing better on a sultry summer morning than the quiet elegance of Polk Place for some serious sweating.
The Thang:
Warmup: SSH x 20, IW x 10, Squat x 10, Arm circles x 10 front and back, Merkins x 10.
Mosey to the Bell Tower for three sets of 1-leg squats L&R x 12 with back leg elevated on steps around tower and burpees x 10.
Then venture to Wilson Library, splitting into groups of seven each, for three rounds of dips on the wall while the other group did derkins with feet on the steps to the library.
After that one group bear-crawled about 40 yards up the grass of Polk Place and lunge-walked back while the other group did burpees.
From there we made our way to the Carroll Hall steps for three sets of diamond derkins x 15 and bows-to-toes planks; then to Wilson Library for a big circle and 15 each of LBCs, flutters, Heels to heavens, Freddie Mercurys and one more that YHC in his dotage has forgotten; and finally to Murphey Hall for three sets of wide-grip merkins x 15 and jump lunges.
Finally we moseyed back to the North Gate at Kenan for 3 minutes of planks, one-armed planks and plank-jacks.
Kenan is thriving in these Covid-19 times behind the able leadership of Boucher. It was grand to be back. Aye!
