Reaching new heights in the depths of Kenan Stadium

July 9, 2018

WHEN: 07/09/2018
QIC: OPEC
PAX: Sidecar, Uzi, TB, Bells, Snooze, Tailspin, Appomattox, Dogwood, Slumdog, OPEC

YHC was welcomed to Kenan by 9 PAX who were eager to get started. Unfortunately or fortunately for the PAX, we did not have access to Kenan stadium this AM so YHC had to improvise a little.  There are many principles/philosophies of F3 that make us who we are and drive & inspire us to be better men.  Today’s workout was inspired by the F3 Credo: Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you find him.

Warmup

  • SSH IC x20
  • Imperial Walkers IC x20
  • Willie Mays Hayes IC x10
  • AC IC x 20, both directions
  • Slow Merkins x10

The Thang

The PAX moseyed around the stadium and down the path into the Loudermilk parking lot (aka the depths of Kenan) and got to work. Once we arrived at the parking area YHC set the stage for the ME. The PAX would partner up for a few stages of Dora using the parking lot and the two ramps leading down to the area from both sides of the Stadium. One is a foot path and the other a road.

  • Stage 1
    • Dora – 100 Merkins and 200 LBCs, while one partner bear crawls to the top of the foot path and runs back down, switch until complete (around 3-4 sets)
  • Stage 2
    • Dora – 100 jump squats and 200 Carolina dry docks, while one partner gorilla crawls across parking lot (long way) and runs back, switch until complete (around 2 sets)
  • Stage 3 (mosey to other side of parking lot)
    • Dora – 100 dips on the curb and 200 single count jump lunges, while one partner sprints up the road to the top of the hill and completes 10 burpees, then sprints back down, switch until complete (around 2 sets)
  • Finale
    • BTTW for 1 min, rest for 10 count, BTTW for 30sec

The PAX moseyed back to the start with a quick stop at the aforementioned footpath for a quick bear crawl race to the top, then back to start for Mary.

Announcements & Prayer requests: None mentioned. YHC took us out.

Having spent some time training in small and large groups, I am always amazed and humbled to witness PAX pushing themselves past their limits. It is an incredible thing to witness and be a part of. Today we all had an opportunity to push ourselves past our limits and grow stronger together.

It was an honor to lead such a strong group of men this AM.  Thank you for the opportunity!
