If you look at your phone before F3 sometimes – it says that there’s going to be lightning and a ton of rain and probably flooding and you’re going to die. Then on the drive to F3 (no matter how short or long) it feels like it’s dumping rain and you’re going to be soaked and why do you do this and what a miserable way to start the week. Then you get out of the car to start and it’s wonderful. Funny how that works.

YHC had really hoped to use the tennis courts but it was rainy and they are locked. When is DPS gonna open up things for us hard working tax-payers to use as God and Athletic Directors intended?

Seven PAX arrived to get started at 0531. Welcome Jolly Roger 1st timer Legacy and welcome down from the mountains, Magellan.

 

Warmup

SSH – theme of the day was to do these between sets while you wait.
imperial walker, mountain climbers, arm circles, willie mays hayes, good morning
Light pole runs: regular to the first, butt kickers to the second, high knees to the third. SSH when you’re done. On the way down – lateral shuffles, karaokes, and sprint to the end with SSH.
Mosey to lower parking lot.

 

The Thang

There are these great catering tents for students to eat lunch outside right now. Brand new picnic tables (smell new) that are probably worth as much as a used car with the price of lumber these days. We would use this a base and run a lap around the parking lot after sets.

YHC had some ideas in mind for partner work or using one man as a timer, but with 7, we kept it individual OYO and the group moved mostly as one.

Round 1:Derkins, Dips, Erkins.  These were done as a group, single count – 5 derkins, 10 Dips, 15 erkins, run. 10 derkins 15 dips, 20 erkins run, SSH until the six is in.

Round 2: Squats. These were OYO. 15 squats, 10 bulgarian split squats (5 each leg), run, SSH for the six. 20 squats, 16 bulgarian splits (8 each leg) run a lap, SSH for the six.

Round 3:Burpess. These were OYO. 10 burpees, 5 WW2’s, run, SSH for the six. 15 burpees, 10 WW2s, run SSH for the six. 20 burpees, 15 WW2s, run a lap, SSH for the six.

Solid rounds and constant moving with the SSH while you wait. Mosey to the front of the school for Mary.
