YHC hadn’t posted at The Eagle in the second half of 2020 due to taking on the Site-Q duties at Kenan, which are both on Monday morning.  Yurt reached out and YHC jumped on it.

YHC was excited to join Botched, Avalanche and Beano for a brisk EC 5K and set the alarm for 4:30.  Went to sleep a bit later than planned, but was happy to wake up before his alarm and shut his eye for a moment…and woke up 48 minutes later…D’oh!

YHC threw it out on slack asking someone to start the warm up and Ocho had YHC’s back.  With a 5:34 a.m. arrival, YHC continued the warm up with 4 penalty burpees (someone pointed out that after HCing and FSing for EC 5K, the more accurate penalty burpee number should have been 34…).

The Thang
YHC broke the PAX into two groups and one group headed to the front entrance to Creekside and instructed this group to start bear crawling towards the carpool entrance/exit and the second group headed to the play ground entrance and crawl beared towards the Creekside front entrance to converge with the 1st group.  This was to symbolize the historic (and arbitrary) convergence of Jupiter and Saturn in the early evening sky.  Once each group completed their crawl, the PAX moseyed back to the startex where they reunited with their coupons.

YHC was looking for a solid old school Shooter style steal work out.  Given it was the 21st, we did sets of 21 reps with the 13 Pax alternating the cadence calls.

The PAX didn’t have too much news to report or prayers asked.  YHC pointed out to the group that the holidays are a very difficult time for some folks…even when there isn’t a global pandemic and broad social, economic and political unrest…try to be particularly sensitive, compassionate, patient and kind.

My apologies to the PAX for FSing on the EC run and being a little late to my own Q!  Thanks for the support and opportunity to lead!
