It was a relatively cool morning for July, and 16 PAX showed up to celebrate YHC’s 33rd birthday on the 22nd of July. It seemed highly appropriate—indeed, it would have been a crime not—to theme the workout around 11’s and multiples thereof. We were especially pleased to have Houdini bring a friendly new kid from Audobon Park to join us.
Warm Up

Everyone mosied over to the rock pile for a nice hefty companion to tote over to the field.
The Thang
The PAX lined up on the side of the soccer field and proceeded to knock out two sets of “11s”.
- 10 breakdancer merkins + 11 skips + 1 squat jump + 11 skips back
- 9 breakdancer merkins + 11 skips + 2 squat jumps + 11 skips back
- and so on
After completing the 11s, we mosied around the field once, then proceeded to dominate the 22s:
- 20 curls with our rocks + 11 bear crawl steps + 2 lunges + 11 bear crawls back
- 18 curls with rocks + 11 bear crawls + 4 lunges + 11 bear crawls
- And so on
YHC had planned another set of 33s, but the time flew swiftly by, and we had to cut the fun short.
Mary
We finished with a set of “Asheville Abs” with 11 reps IC at each step (legs flat, diamond legs, knees up/triangle, knees 90 deg., knees “straight” up, then back down).
CoT
Houdini’s friend nearly ended up with names to complement houdini (e.g. “Smoke and Mirrors” or the name of other magicians). But in the end, he was wearing Sambas, which led to the name Yinka after Yinka Dare. T-claps to Yinka for showing up and putting in a s0lid effort!
