Or more accurately, killing time to save ourselves. To be precise, we killed time in between sprints to catch our breath to save ourselves.
We executed a reverse pyramid of sprints with bundles of death merkins in between. Did I say death merkins? I meant happy merkins – quiet, happy merkins because there was trace mumblechatter, which usually is a sign of jubilant yet silent enjoyment of exercise.
Warm-up:
Lap around the track with apple-pickers, butt-kickers, high-knees, shuffles, karaoke, 50% sprint for 100 and 75% sprint for 100. followed by air squats and Willie Mays Hayes.
Time to press play:
- 50 meter sprints X 8 with 5 seconds rest in between each (Riggs smoked everybody)
- 100 Merkins: 25 reguLAR, 25 diamond, 25 wide, 25 fingertip
- 100 meter sprints X 6 with 10 seconds rest in between each (T”eo won most of these with competition from few others)
- 75 Merkins: 25 reguLAR, 25 prong (left then right leg up), 25 diamond
- 400 meter sprints X 2 with 30 seconds rest after the first, 60 seconds after the second (YHC took the title on these but T”eo was breathing down his neck on each)
- 800 meter sprint X 1
