Can you smell it in the air? It’s finally here. At least one football game every weekend between now and February. Time to welcome CFB season #150 in style!
So YHC thought it best to get everyone in tip-top shape for the upcoming season.
Warm-up:
- SSH × 25
- WMH × 10
- LBAC × 15
- RLBAC × 15
- GMs × 15
- OH Claps × 25
- IM × 10
- Seal Claps × 25
- Hillbillies × 10 = 150
The Thang:
PAX partnered up as we hit the ground running. Each corner (half field) represented a body specific exercise. Corner one focus on the legs, corner two was cardio, and corner three worked the core. Modes of travel for the first loop were bear crawls for the short sides, and buddy carry the long ones. Second round was walk lunge and wheel barrow.
Round 1:
Legs – body weight squats × 25, lunge jumps × 25 (each leg)
Cardio – high knees × 25, Heisman pose × 25
Core – mountain climbers × 25, boat/canoes for 1 minute, WWIIs × 25
YHC had a little CFB trivia for the PAX that was met with 5 penalty burpees for each incorrect response (I mean, we still did burpees for correct responses, but only 2). Shout out to Funny Money for getting, what would turn out to be, the only correct response.
Round 2: (for the sake of time we shortened each station)
Legs – body weight squats × 25
Cardio – Heisman pose × 25
Core – WWIIs × 15
PAX then moseyed to the rock pile to get that upper body burn going. With two handed rocks we completed three sets of:
- Bicep curls 25 > 15 > 10 = 50
- Bent over rows 25 > 15 > 10 = 50
- Shoulder presses 25 > 15 > 10 = 50 = 150
MARY:
After going through YHC football boot camp, it was time to put all our training to the test. PAX would run a WR route to catch a football with YHC at QB. PAX who caught it advanced to the F3 football roster, dropped catches (or what some PAX blamed on “bad throws”) resulted in 5 penalty burpees for all! There were catches… there were drops… and plenty of burpees. Only had enough time for about 7-8 PAX to catch before we had time for one last 5 Merkin count ring of fire to end football camp.
