YHC scrambled home after Qing Basecamp to collect Tarantula & a Fit Deck and arrived at Sunnyside with a minute or two to spare
A number of other exercises that I have forgotten…
YHC bought a Fitdeck about 10 years ago, threw it in a drawer and subsequently forgot about it forever. Cleaning out some rooms this week uncovered this ancient artifact. I thought it would be a perfect tool for an (un)planned workout. Circled up, each PAX approached the Q and pulled a card. The PAX dutifully performed the exercises with minimal demos needed. About 1/2 way through, Bobcat insisted on Cherry Pickers, which were not on any card. We obliged him, and he inserted them into every exercise that followed, as well as cooldown, and probably even in the BOM.
Tarantula wanted to play Exercise Tag to close out the morning. The person that was It called out an exercise. Upon tagging, the tagged would do 10 reps of said exercise before joining the taggers. After that we repeated an age old favorite from the launch of Sunnyside: Bear Crawl (tagger) / Crab Walk (taggee).
It’s the end of the year! The kids dove into the Fitdeck game without fear, tackling each exercise with enthusiasm and energy! In 2018, be sure to try new things with that same outlook; don’t fear new opportunities. Give them a try, you might just succeed or find a new hobby/friend/career.
