What an awesome turnout at the first official workout at the Piranha!
Two FNGs showed up in the gloom thanks to some great PR work by Cosmo.
Under the reflection of our shiny new shovel flag, the workout got started with a warmup.

30x SSH
24x Arm circles
10x WMH
12x Imperial Walkers

Mosey around “the almond” with a sprint along the concrete pylons (Cosmo was grateful we didn’t do a “WeedNFeed” lap and frog-jump the pylons.

The Thang:
First half Q was WeedNFeed:
Taking a page out of Floyd’s book, we celebrated Halloween early in a way that would have made Jane Fonda proud.

First song, Love Potion number 9. Hold a high plank position until you hear the phrase “Love potion number 9”, then do a merkin.
By the end, nobody was loving high planks or merkins. Success. But we didn’t rest on our laurels.

Second song, Thriller. Imperial walkers unless you hear the word “Thriller”, then do a Bobby Hurley. Vincent Price’s part seemed so much longer this time.
Third song, and the finale, Ghost Busters. Start with SSH, unless you hear the word ghost, then do a burpee and switch to squats. Near the end, we were all wondering why it was necessary to tell us “who to call” so many times. We get it already, just stop with the burpees!

With a few minutes left until halftime, we mosied back down to the pylons and did one-armed merkins (AKA Apollo Creeds) against the pylons. 20x per arm.
At halftime, the Q hat switched to Brick.

Brick brought his new F3 “deck of death”. We mosied over to the “blacktop of pain” and circled up.

Each PAX took turns drawing a card from the awful deck, while everyone else waited in dread suspense.

The hand we were delt included bear crawls and crawl bears, mountain climbers, Carolina dry docks, burpees, dips and sprints.

We mosied back to the parking lot and did 30x LBCs in cadence, and 20x Heels to Heaven.
