Father’s Day-Palooza at F3 Churham

June 16, 2018

WHEN: 06/16/2018
QIC: Big Kat
PAX: 53 PAX+Ms+2.0s – Too many to name

An incredible and humbling turn out with 53 showing up on a bright morning for a Father’s Day edition of TBL.

Circle-Up for basic instruction and warm-up:

  • SSH x 25 IC
  • Imperial Walker x 10 IC
  • Merkins x 10 IC
  • BW Squats x 20 IC
  • Nancy Kerrigans x 10 IC
  • Burpees x 10

The Thang:

Sharks and Minnows!

  • Dads were sharks first but had to bear crawl only. Non-Dads were minnows and ran to other side of field and then back.
  • Switch

(This was harder than expected)

Round-a-Bout

  • Dads run counter clock-wise, Non-Dads run clock-wise around most of half of soccer field, when meeting someone from opposite direction do a bropee (burped but high five each other at top). Do until 3 bropees then plank.

Tortoise and Hare

  • After highly accurate rendition of the basic story by FNG (later named Easy Bake) we broke into two groups: Dads with 2.0s on their backs (tortoises) and everyone else (hares). Tortoises got head start and then moseyed across width of field followed by bunny-hopping hares. (Hares won easily, emphasizing the folly of underestimating your challenger).

At BB court – Water Ballon Toss!!

  • Kids tossed water balloons to adults, who took a step back after each catch. If ballon breaks, 10 tuck-jumps by the catcher.
  • People’s chair for those who do-in two ballons.

(This was a lot of fun, actually)

At side field near the wall: 2-Run/1-Do

  • Kids ran down field while everyone else did burpees. There were some really fast kids, but also some really slow kids, too.
  • Switch

Mary

  • Plank while ring of name your favorite food (I am seriously thinking about opening a pizza and sushi place on Franklin street now)
  • Freddie Mercuries x 15
  • Heels-To-Heaven x 15
  • WWII x 14

No announcements other than Happy Dad’s Day.

EPIC name-o-rams with awesome F3 names for all our FNGs.

COT with YHC expressing gratitude for the trust and support of all those who came today. We are so very fortunate to be able to run and jump and also hug and cuddle and love.
