Farmer Carries By the Farmers’ Market at the Bullpen

Eight PAX converged at ReCity this morning in downtown Durham.  The time was 5:30 AM sharp.  The group circled up in front of the main building for Warm Up.  The ReCity staff recently changed the fence lock code, so regular warm up beside the building has been a ‘no-go’ for a couple weeks now.  No worries….YHC is an expert in improvising.

WARM UP: SSH, Willie Mays Hayes, Prisoners Squats, Arm Circles, Windmills

After completion of the list above, the PAX jogged as a group to the slide (fake rock playground thingy) in Durham Central Park.

MAIN EVENT: 

  1. Fake Rock Playground Thingy
    • Assume Derkin position and complete the following in cadence:
      • 15 Derkins
      • Wall Plank T-Raise (Right Arm)
      • Wall Plank T-Raise (Left Arm)
  2. Mosey to Farmer’s Market
    • All PAX ran at 80% speed up Hunt Street to ‘Road Closed’ sign and back down
    • Split group into partners and each pair grabbed two matching coupons (cinders, kettlebells, or dumbbells
  3. Hunt Street Work – complete alternating partner exercises up and down Hunt Street
    • Partner 1 – Farmer Carry both coupons 1/2 way up Hunt Street, back down
    • Partner 2 – Run 80% speed to top of Hunt Street, back down
    • (Flap Jack exercises with partner series completed 2x)
    • Break up pairs for individual hill work
    • Each PAX grabbed one coupon of choice, and in cadence group completed the following movement 1/2 way up Hunt Street
      • (Rack and maintain weight in front of shoulders during all walking) Walk 10 steps, complete 10 Press Jacks, walk 10 steps, complete 10 press jacks, …… repeated until midway up Hunt Street
    • Travel down was a different variation of same process
      • (Rack and maintain weight in front of shoulders during all walking) Walk 10 steps, complete 10 kettlebell swings, walk 10 steps, complete 10 kettlebell swings,….. repeated until at bottom of Hunt Street
    • Sit ups to Standing (thrown in throughout to work core and leg muscles a bit)

MARY: Jog back to fake playground rock thingy and assume plank position
