UNC was winning comfortably by 21 points when YHC went outside to clean the gutters and do some yard work. YHC checked the score after clearing out half the gutters, and about had a heart attack to see it was now a 9 point game. All work was put on hold as YHC watched in horror as UNC completely imploded and the game went to overtime. Thankfully, RJ Davis and the boys were able to gather themselves and finish the job in OT. This workout was dedicated to RJ and the rest of the 8-seeded Tar Heels.

Warm-Up: All exercises completed in cadence unless noted

  • SSH x 32
  • WMH x 8
  • Good Mornings x 8
  • Air Press x 16
  • Merkins x 16 (single count)
  • Mountain Climbers x 8
  • Plank Jacks x 8
  • Alternating Shoulder Taps x 8

 

The Thang:

We moseyed down to the tennis courts where YHC had already set up 8 cones in an octagon formation. Each cone was associated with a given exercise listed below:

  • Merkins
  • Jump Squats
  • World War 2s
  • Carolina Dry Docks
  • Groiners
  • V-Ups
  • Hand-release Merkins
  • Jump Lunges

PAX were instructed to start at a different cone with two sets of PAX doubled up.

 

Round1: 

Complete 8 reps of the exercise at its cone and then travel between cones by bear crawling. Once you return to your starting point, jog to the center of the tennis court and complete 8 burpees.

 

Round 2:

Complete 16 reps of the exercise at its cone and then travel between cones by lunge walking. Once you return to your starting point, jog to the center of the tennis court and complete 8 burpees.

 

Round 3:

Complete 24 reps of the exercise at its cone and then travel between cones by crab walking. Once you return to your starting point, jog to the center of the tennis court and complete 8 burpees.

 

After completing the third round, we jogged back to the front entrance of the school for Mary.
