WHEN: 09/01/2017

3 EC ruckers roamed around the Southern Village darkness, bringing surprise and confusion to all those they came across in the 0500-hour.  The only other living thing that was brave enough to engage the 3 darkened ruck-wearing fools was a cat (‘Turtle’) who briefly followed us…but quickly realized we carried no cat treats. Thus, the cat-pursuit was short-lived.
19 other brave souls removed themselves from their FS and were prepared for their 0545 reward: Bastille.

The Thang
Given the presence of 2 FNGs, [later to receive the names Huey (an Army Chinook pilot) and Catfish (fundraiser for the University of Dook)], YHC altered the planned intro to the workout by immediately moving the PAX to central SoVi for a quick (-ish) Jacob’s Ladder of BWS & Burpees (total reps always 7). Some of the more dashing PAX (both in looks AND speed; see Spooky, Ito, Snail) were tasked with extra burpees at the end as the group awaited the arrival of the 6.

Upon full reunion of the PAX, we moseyed back to the playground for some AMRAP work.
4 teams were quickly created and given their instructions.

Team 1 (aka Team Homes) maxed out their pullups for 1 minute.  Teams 2, 3 & 4 ran a loop around the paved path circling the swampy pond.  Then, Team 2 (aka Team Cheese) got their pullups (Teams 1, 3, 4 ran a loop), followed in the same fashion by Team 3 (aka Team Dean Wormer) and finally, Team 4 (which somehow had managed to get reduced to only YHC & Band Camp) had their chance at pullups.

Next, with the PAX back together again;
2 minutes of merkins.  Time flies when you’re having fun.
3 minutes of squats.  We hit 150 before the clock suggested we move on.
4 minutes of burpees.  A crowd favorite.  Didn’t even attempt to keep track here; too focused on addressing mumblechatter.

Check the watch…and BINGO! We’d successfully  run out the clock were officially done.

Continued prayers for Houston.  Champ (& others) working some comz channels to develop a plan to support.
Tclaps to Eddie the Eagle for hitting his 1yr F3 Anniversary earlier this week.  In celebration, he also decided to get married this weekend at Bald Head Island.   Congrats Eddie!!
