14 PAX assembled on the frozen tundra of Hooker Fields. YHC had requested PAX to come with headlamps and reflective gear. Time to get moving and get warm.
Warm-Up:
- Lap around Hooker Fields
- High knees
- Butt Kickers
- Frankensteins
- Knees to Chest
Intervals
We ran 2 miles around the Hooker Field track. On the first mile, PAX ran the straight aways and slow jogged the turns. On the second mile, PAX ran 200 m and then slow jogged 200 m. YHC wanted to give the PAX the opportunity to get used to running at an uncomfortable pace for short periods of time.
Laurel Hill
We finished up with the intervals, and headed down Laurel Hill, stopping at St. James. We ran the hilly segment from St. James to the yield sign twice. YHC then lead the PAX through the middle portion of Laurel Hill to the UNC mailbox at the base of the final climb. We ran the final climb up to Country Club twice. After the last PAX made it to the summit, we moseyed back to the AO.
3 minutes on the clock, so we took a cool down lap.
COT:
No announcements, but it was just awesome to see 14 guys at the Goat looking to get in, or maintain a high level of fitness.
