“Weather looks good. No excuses.” – YHC during the pre-blast

Ok, so YHC may not be a weatherman, but he should know better than to jinx a forecast so badly when the models were looking a bit unpredictable at best. After Hurricane Ian blew through over the weekend and now 4 straight days of gloom and rain – certainly this was going to be the morning the clouds parted for a perfect Fall workout. Regardless, when YHC woke up he realized he needed a plan for rain, but as the workout time got closer, it appeared that we were in store for mist and maybe a break in the weather just in time. To keep the PAX happy, we’d avoid rolling around in puddles, but otherwise stick to the original plan.

No EC occurred, but six of the hardiest PAX showed up for the ME start. In the end, a little misty rain was nothing the PAX couldn’t handle (even Duplo) and all seemed satisfied with an approachable block beat down.

The Warmup:

• Plank Jacks IC x 20
• SSH IC x 20
• Squats x 20
• Arm Circles FW IC x 10
• Arm Circles RV IC x 10
• Willie Mayes Hayes IC x 10

The Thang:

Proceed to the pull-up bar and partner up.

Pull ups x 8, 6, 4

Mosey the block pile and pick out 1 block per partner pair. Setup blocks on one side of the parking lot. Both partners start out on the other side. Partner one will travel to the block, do 25 reps of an exercise and then return. The other partner does a block-less exercise while waiting.

Set 1: 
Kettle bell swings x 25  -> Bear Crawl -> Peter Parkers

Set 2: 
Bent over rows x 25 -> Crawl Bear -> Hill Billy Squats

Set 3:
Squat Thrusters x 25 -> Crab Walk -> Imperial Walkers

Set 4:
Curls x 25 -> Gorilla Hops -> SSH

Mary:

Return to the shelter at the front of the school.
