YHC took the reins to provide a proper kick-off the birthday day

4 Pax crushed the Kenan stairs for 30 minute of #1MOMS #1MECKS EC. After Champ departed to tend to his pectoral, another 10 Pax arrived for the Main Event. A beatdown ensued.

WARM-UP (SSH, Mt. Climber, Everests, Merkin-Dogs, Arm Circles)

THE THANG
Mosey to the Kenan pitch.
Shuttle Run every 10 yards w/ the following exercises upon returning to the touchline:
10 – burpees
20 – merkins
30 – dry docks
40 – squats
50 – LBCs
40 – squats
30 – dry docks
20 – merkins
10 – burpees
Followed by 10 of each of the above

25 yard movement (bear crawl, gorilla, crab walk, crawl bear) followed by 20 assorted variety merkins after each
25 yard movement (lunge walk, single leg hop R and then L, broad jump) followed by 10 assorted variety merkins after each
10 Burpees + Staris (3X)
Sprint + 10 Spider Man merkins (2x)

Mosey back for some Mary and Yoga.

YHC thanked the Pax and, in particular, our grizzled, wise RESPECT Pax for showing up and being an inspiration. Turning 42 is a lot more palatable when you get to witness guys almost 20 years older continue to just freaking crush it each and every day. Truly, I think a lot of potential mid-live-crises are avoided by virtue of F3 (or maybe just diverted – walking around with backpacks playing army men and climbing on the monkey bars and rolling around in the mud pretending we're in Ancient Greece while calling each other made up nicknames isn't exactly a paragon of maturity).

Until today I had never specifically told these guy how much they inspire me – especially for men, verbalization of emotions and compliments is often difficult and something we as a group should strive to improve at. But even short of that, the Pax should know that each and every one of us undoubtedly inspires someone to get out there or pushes someone during a workout – who knows what trait you have that connects w/ someone else; it may be your age, your fitness (or lack thereof) your humor, your job, your family, your background – but I guarantee that something you possess pushes others to come out and participate in F3. So on those days when your own motivation is lacking, use this to push yourself to get up and get out. And don't forget to SMASH THAT HC button and inspire other Pax to come join you. AYE!
